Got to meet with the professor before the application was submitted via Zoom. Had years of professional experience in the field, but no master's degree.

Interviews went really well. Very sad news.

Curt, fine rejection. Not an ideal match. I had trouble submitting the application on time so this could've been a factor.

"Due to how our admissions process works, we can't answer more specific questions you might have – what position you are on the waitlist, etc. – but we routinely admit students from our waitlist. You will be notified by phone and/or email as soon as space becomes available."

hank you for your interest in the Indiana University, Department of Anthropology graduate program. I am writing to update you regarding the status of your application for admission to the Department. We were unable to extend you an offer of admission. This was a very difficult decision for our Admissions Committee to make, as our applicant pool is extremely competitive this year. We encourage you to apply again in future years and wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors
