They plan to finish interviews by end of February and send first round offers on March 1.

Just received the email

MCS program

Amazing. Four decisions, four acceptances. One to go.

Received an email from the department stating that admission offers went out earlier this week. They claim “the admissions process is still ongoing” and they “plan to admit more students” but that sounds like a waitlist at best and a rejection at worst. They also mentioned a recruitment day event that happens in March where some will be invited. From prior GradCafe posts: if you have not been accepted and you get invited to this, it does NOT mean you are in. People have been invited to that and then rejected afterwards.

To everyone who interviewed at UC Irvine Psychology: UCI has NOT sent their acceptances out yet (you're still in the running!). I spoke to one of the PIs and they confirmed that acceptances go out next week. Ignore what the person said in the post below this, it's incorrect.
