I don't understand this. Had good letters of recommendation & Top 2% from to German university

Bachelor: Automation Engineering, good CV (some research background), a bit unexpected.

GPA: 4.9/5 (top 5%) KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden Exchange term ETH, grade average on D-MATH courses 5.9/6 Unfinished degree: Stockholm School of Economics Industry experience: Bioinformatics at startup

9.76/10.0 gpa, email said "status changed on eapply"

expected.

Bachelor: Computer Science, no engineering and physics background

Reject! Germany top university. Average grade 1.35. The reason may be a mismatch of courses, I dont have topology(even not provided in my univeristy), ODE or complex theory.

I didn't take many courses in computational techniques included in the program's requirements. The result is not that surprising.

Had 2 interviews. They usually want to fill phd positions ASAP and I am not graduated yet from my master's program and it would have taken a couple months to provide the certificates, and I believe that was the major reason for this rejection. This made it a lot easier for me to decide what offer to accept, though. So no hard feelings.

Not too surprised, was only a back-up plan anyway. I come from a Maths background, so probably was missing some systems engineering experience.

not too surprised, since they want you to have systems software and multi-threaded programming experience, which I didn't take courses for

No email. Checked portal and found the dicision letter.

I just updated five of the programs I applied to today on gradcafe. I'm withdrawing from my waitlist positions and deciding in among my admissions. Best luck to everyone who is also on waitlists! :)

Interviewed in Jan and got the result pretty fast. Very warm and welcoming professors and students!
