"Faculty in the History Department have considered PhD applications and forwarded a short list of candidates to the Graduate Studies Committee for the final round of consideration for admission. All students admitted to our PhD program are offered a fellowship, and the small number of fellowships means that many highly qualified candidates cannot be offered admission. I am sorry to say we were unable to include your name on that list, but the faculty in the United States field have expressed interest in working with you in your graduate studies. Because of your interest in Georgetown, our faculty's interest in your application, and the quality of your file, we would like to make you aware of an opportunity related to our MA in Global, International & Comparative History [MAGIC]. Every year, we offer guaranteed admission into the MAGIC program to a small number of PhD applicants who show exceptional promise but are not among those admitted for doctoral study. Your dossier places you within the cohort guaranteed admission."

Just keeping positive and waiting it out! Congrats to those who accepted:)!
