Applied for ML theory, my research papers were probably not strong enough, and some bad grades in non-ML CS courses

Not surprising, my GRE is really bad. Had no idea how and what to write in research prospectus as well.

Not sure how I got in since my GRE Quantitative score is so bad, but maybe the 15 min interview and paper I wrote helped? This is for the 2 year MS track.
