What is taking so long for them to send a rejection letter?

Thought I was rejected since I waited for such a long time. Have already decided to another school. No funding information

The program coordinator said that they had filled all positions for this year and that an official notice would be sent soon. They made us wait for so long !

TTPB. Purdue rejects will be sent out in a week. They have finished accepting students. Only the rejects are pending. That's what one of the prof told me.

I don't why they are taking so much time to just send a generic rejection email/letter.

To the post below. Can you just mail them again about the decision? I mailed them twice and they let me know that they have put me in the waitlist as yours.

Status is "Awaiting Decision". Contacted grad office at the end of February, she told me that I've been waitlisted. Still expecting an email from them.

I have not heard anything from them. Is it a reject? I did not get any admits this year ffs

Contacted by a professor in Jan, I replied that our interests do not match. Got rejection today. If there is a causal relation between the two events, I wonder why they didn't reject earlier.

Got into a better school anyway so not a big loss.

After so long. Got a mail to check the decision on the portal.

I've not received mine yet. Submitted in the second week of December.

Are they done with all the decisions??

Were all the rejected posters below were referred to the MS program?

TTPB: I contacted a person named Carol J Glotzbach. She was the one who let me know my application's decision. I have not received a reject officially but she told me that my application was not reviewed highly, so that's an unofficial reject. Here is the email ID: [email protected]. Try contacting her through email at office hours ( U.S time) with your name and application ID. I got a reply within 15 to 20 minutes of sending my email. If you still don't get a response then you probably have to wait it out until your decision arrives officially. I hope this helps.

TTPB: They have already sent most of the admits early this year. All the pending decisions will come as mass rejects. They are portraying as if they are going through each application carefully, but in actual they aren't!
