For future generations: a current YSE student said that YSE's acceptance rate is approx. 15% in the 2022 forum. Also, applicants were told results would come out around March 15th initially and then they sent an email saying it'll come out March 11th. Some people heard as early as 2PM, I heard around 3:30PM. I think that the essay helped me get into the MEM program. I dedicated 30+ hours to it to make my essay *perfect* to my vision. Really think about your why. How has everything you've done connected together to create the vision you have, and how can YSE help you reach that vision? About me: I graduated in May 21 and am joining YSE in Fall 22. No GRE, super strong & relevant campus involvement, strong 1-year internship post-undergrad at a relevant non-profit. 2 internships throughout college, 1 job that was community-oriented. I had C's and B-'s in my transcript, it's okay!!

extremely shocked with my acceptance but so excited!!

Hep-th/HEP-Ph. Called for interview and thesis presentation last week, after that had a 30 mins zoom meeting with prospective supervisor. Results will be informed in this or next week. There were only 3 international students called for the interview (Non Resident UK Citizens).

Interviewed last week for 2 positions in Dark Matter Theory and Phenomenology. Currently ranked at 2nd for one of the position and awaiting result for the other.

Well. To those who haven't received your decision. Good luck! To those who haven't made it this year. Don't give up. I just want to make a point that these results can also be faked.

Applied to Islamic Studies PhD program

Greetings from the Information School! I am pleased to inform you that the MLIS Admissions Committee has decided to recommend you for admission to the residential mode of the Master of Library and Information Science program for Autumn 2022. We thought your application demonstrated your great potential to succeed not only in our program, but in the profession as well.

Notified in-person by my academic advisor since I attend here for undergrad. So excited!!!

I've just gotten the acceptance email today that stated to check the portal with a generic admission letter without stating the funding package but just stating that UBC gives a minimum coverage of 20k, tuition is..., living costs, etc. Will I soon receive the funding letter later on? I also need to send my official documents to the university. Is receiving the funding letter contingent on sending my official documents? I'm in a hurry for the funding letter so I can apply to a visa ASAP. Anyone with similar experience kindly let me know!
