International student, Current MS student from a US university. Undergrad GPA 2.80, MS GPA 4.0, Got admission letter through email, assigned a temporary advisor. Nothing about funding yet.

Got a notification from the Portal there was an update, saw it was a rejection. GPA is aight, but I had strong essays and letters of recommendation

DICE track, T20 university, no publications but research in 2 groups, 2 internships at major companies, IEEE school org involvement

Did not receive any interviews.
