CMT, one 1st author pub in Phys. Rev. B, 3 yrs research with prof, good LORs, teaching exp, the GPA is a Masters.

Any news from this school? Why they are so slow..

“Unfortunately we are unable to offer you a place” same old generic email. I had almost perfect grades. Don’t know what the hell they want !

Wasted my money for the application, got into better places. Undergrad from a top 10 European University.

Got the following email: Every year the admissions committee receives more qualified applicants than can be admitted in to the program. Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to extend to you an offer of admissions to our program.

Received a phone call and email about my acceptance on the same day, and an email with my funding information a few days later.

Notified by the POI that i should try other places. Got into UIUC, Northeastern, Boston University, Wisconsin. waiting on funding. 1.5 years of research. 2 relevant internships and 1 semester of study abroad in Europe.

Still waiting for Iowa state university, anyone got admit from them here?

Didn't take their offer, as I accepted one at a different school.

To the poster below waitlisted for Electrical Engineering Ph.D. Fall 2019. How did you check that you were waitlisted? My grad application portal still mentions "Under review by graduate department". Where did you find out that "They are accepting 6% of the applicants this year."?
