UT Michener. Got an email to check the portal at about midnight. 0a/1r/0w/6p

I am writing to let you know that we have not been able to recommend you for admission to the Masters of Fine Arts program in Creative Writing at Syracuse University. This is a complicated judgment which depends a great deal on the abilities and opinions of those instructors here who must be able to feel that they could clearly serve the development of your writing. Their consensus not to recommend admission to the program should in no way be interpreted as a discouragement of your writing. I know this news disappoints you, and I want to express my sincere best wishes for success in your alternate plans for graduate study. Thank you for your interest in Syracuse.

Ignore interview — I’m wondering if people have heard results or if this is another casualty of the federal funding issues. Sorry to scare people!

"Your application for admission to the Graduate School at Cornell University has been given careful consideration by the Graduate Field of Literatures in English. I'm very sorry to say that we are unable to offer you admission to our M.F.A. graduate program for Fall 2025. This was a very difficult decision, since we received hundreds of applications for very few places in the program. We had to turn down a number of very talented people with very impressive records, many of whom no doubt will go on to distinguished careers. This email will serve as your only notification of your application results. We appreciate your interest in Cornell, and wish you success in your graduate studies. Thank you for sharing your work with us." Congrats to those who got in, and who didn't, hey, we'll get in somewhere, where we're meant to be :)
