Applied to the Master's program. Told them I didn't need funding. Apparently, that makes admission easier.

I emailed the director of graduate studies. The site has not been updated.

Interviewed via skype last week.

To the previous Aero admit. Did you contact your POI first or were you contacted by them in regards to funding?

Not a good fit.

Gift for Chinese New Year~

Got an email with a pdf of the letter they sent in the mail i guess. "With regret, we are writing to notify you that you have not been admitted to our program. As has been the case at other public universities, we have faced significant budget cuts in recent years. These have constrained the size of our incoming class. We had many more qualified applicants than we could accept, and our committee had a particularly difficult time drawing up a final list for admission." Wasn't a good fit i guess.. good luck to those waiting in this stressful time!

informal offer from potential advisor, no word on funding

GPA is in reference to my MA.

Just a note to say that you are on our shortlist, and we expect to make decisions by the end of the month.

Emailed graduate department about admission decisions, they said the committee is currently reviewing the apps & should be in the mail in the next few weeks. Any one else applying for MA Archaeology at UIUC? Any info?
