MSCS. Was first contacted by the Prof mentioned in SOP. Asked me to get ready to do 2-year long research.

TTPB: the Stanford admit below, do you mind posting your credentials? publications? etc?

Masters admission is weird. I have admits from Stanford, UT Austin, UCSD. But rejects from CMU, Madison, Purdue, GaTech. It's almost like drawing lots. Once your application is enough good, I think they just pick one at random.

(this is the person accepted to HCP and worked as a SWE after graduation) Over 1 year at company when I applied, will be over 2 years when program starts. 2 references from undergrad, 1 reference from current manager.

5 yr of exp on wall street in trading/engineering. Prob will just interview at FB/AMZN and take job instead ;) oh well

I had applied last year too and was rejected. Reapplied this year with a better thought-out essay and 1 year of work experience at a FAANG company, was admitted.

To other Stanford MSCS accepts: do you receive an official offer letter? In my admission email, the attachment is some "CGSResolution", and I couldn't find my official letter in ApplyWeb either.

University of Toronto, Engineering Science

non-CS undergrad from top 20 US college. 1 co-authored paper, interned at stanford computer science department as research assistant for 3 quarters, took 3 classes at stanford and got As in all of them.

ttpb, how many years have been in the company as a SDE to apply for HCP? Do you have all references from undergraduate?

HCP Program. Non-CS engineering undergrad, software engineer at the same company since then.

That's reasonable since the best undergraduates compete for this program. Going to CMU, hoping to get here for doctural study.
