Cornell Undergrad with Business major (Dyson) and CS minor. For future applicants with questions about the interview: - lasted 30 min. over Skype with a professor in the specific field that I mentioned being interested in. - some technical questions but not very difficult if you have a good base + if you're lacking in some area you should just admit you don't know and they'll assign you to an online summer class before starting. Honesty is the best policy ;) - mostly questions about why Cornell Tech and why CS. The program is pretty different from other Masters programs so you should have a good reason why you are attracted to this specific structure and set of classes. - was told that I should receive an offer at the end of the interview and received the official acceptance letter exactly 2 weeks later

From Asian universities, three papers in ML (one in journal), internship at NUS with a paper there, got a bunches of exchanges to foreign universities during my undergrad; two strong recommendation letters (from professor outside my country)

BBA with a minor in CS and CS-related GPA 4.3/4.3. No relevant research experience. Probably the reason why I got rejected.

Completed my interview with 2 professors before 2 weeks. Waiting for results. They said it would be announced by mid Feb.

To the poster below: It was for the M.Sc. program. M.Eng. will probably come out later, since the app was only due on February 1, right?

Just received an email from the department representative. Did my undergrad here too. This is great news! Really pumped right now :D

I already have MIT to go.

1 poster publication in an international conference. 2 papers submitted to international journals. 4 very strong LORs. Field: AI/ML

to the poster below: you have to contact the cs department to let them know that you want them to transfer your file to the orie department. it's not automatic. hope it helps!

This year we had an unusually high number of incredibly talented applicants. Since the number of students that we can accept is quite limited, we were forced to reject many excellent students.

Mass email, got interview but.. well, expected at this point
