What happened with UW? Seems like so many good people got rejected. Are they that low on spots/funding?

TTPB: The one that has 5 papers and 2 posters and area is HCI. You have many publications. Great achievement! You will have good news soon. How many first-author papers + top-tier conference do you have among 5 papers? I want to know how competitive HCI PhD admission is (Is it hard like the ML field, now?)

POI contacted me and said they have already sent out their first batch of acceptance, unfortunately, I was waitlisted. Congrats to those who got accepted.

Field: Theory Had an interview with someone from the adcom before. One paper under review, and another paper in manuscript. 6 months of work exp in a FAANG, but idk if that's relevant for theory. I guess the correct expression is "stoked"!

TTPB: I received my acceptance email only after I saw some acceptance posts on gradcafe this morning, so if those posts were legitimate then I don't think all acceptances were sent at once.

Congrats on the UT Austin admits below! Did they send out the acceptance emails all at once, or are they doing so gradually throughout the course of the day? I'm feeling anxious about this.
