Just heard from the admissions office, they would release all the acceptance letters no later than next week, is what they said.

Received the good news and am writing here because I wouldn't have survived this week without everyone here. To those who were rejected: I was rejected by Columbia last year and it was an absolute disaster for me. I thought I could never have recovered from it. I didn't even have a backup plan because I was so sure I would have been accepted. I had to take a job and move away from the states. But guess what? I went through and here I am. So don't ever give up your dream and please please have faith on yourself.

Nothing hurts more than finding out you aren't good enough for a program you dreamt and worked so hard to achieve a degree in. I am beyond heartbroken and honestly at a loss of words. Wishing all the people accepted the best of luck, the ones who got wait listed may it all workout, and to all of us who didn't make it, may something else even better be in store for our futures.

To studio 20 poster: Just got an email asking me to provide official transcripts so they can proceed with the decision release.

I feel like I'm the only one on this site that was rejected and I have never felt so much shame and embarrassment in my life. I've been so committed to this place since my application was submitted seven friggin months ago. I had my hopes up for so long for no reason.

Still in shock. Straight out of undergrad but been working in the communications field since I was 17. Have done internships, volunteer work and freelance gigs. Filmmaking undergrad with a minor in journalism. Mediocre GPA (3.5/4). No scholarship, just 20k in loans. Considering taking a plus loan. Is it worth it?

To the post below: didn't get anything from Medill yet. no email and nothing on the website. I'm scared...

Has anyone else not heard from Medill or CUNY yet?! I'm losing my mind here.

To the poster below asking about NYU - I applied to the Magazine program and got a phone call Feb 27, two days after visiting the school. I know that each concentration has a different admissions person! So your concentration probably is putting out admissions later than mine did

To the poster below who's going to NYU - Congratulations! Could you share where and when you were able to see the result? I called earlier today, checked website and email every five minutes and I'm still getting nothing.

Wow! I got into Medill and NYU! I applied to both on a whim thinking I had no chance at all with my GRE score. I am still waiting on CUNY, but I think the winner is gonna be NYU! Good luck to everyone!

OMG OMG OMG!! as;dlkfjdklsa;fj surprised to find out that this acceptance did not make every problem in my life go away BUT I'll take it nonetheless. $20k in funding. Lots of clips at big news orgs. Went to an excellent undergrad. institution and graduating this year. LOL at person below who's doing the same. *sips tea*

Accepted with NO aid. That has me baffled. That is a SIGNIFICANT amount of money to pay with NO financial aid. I may not take this up. Still INCREDIBLY happy though. Application season complete with 2 admits and no rejections.

Congrats all who were accepted. Wondering where you got the financial aid info? I was sent an email with financial aid information, but there was just a generic financial aid key attached and it said scholarship info would be posted on the student portal but I don't see it. Not sure if i'm missing something. Thanks!

Accepted to Columbia, Northwestern, NYU, Syracuse, and USC. I am still in shock, wasn't expecting to get in because I won't even by 21 before the start of the program. Congrats to all!
