Thank you for applying to the Creative Writing program at UNC Greensboro. We strive to conduct a fair and thoughtful review of every applicant's achievements, talents, recommendations, and academic and professional credentials. After thorough review, I regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you admission at this time. Each application is considered in relation to other applications in the same area and only the very top applicants are admitted. Your application file was considered in detail by the faculty in Creative Writing. While they were impressed with the potential demonstrated through your application, the number of qualified applicants far exceeded the number of students we are able to enroll. The admissions committee in Creative Writing recommends that you consider reapplying to the program for the next available entry term. We truly appreciate the time and effort you put into your application. While I realize this is not the outcome for which you had hoped, I wish you the best toward attaining your goals.

0a/1w/7r/4p, email to check portal. still looking to hear back from my top schools

Had to email to get word.

Nothing on the portal. I reached out and was informed that the class has not been finalized but that I was not chosen. Why even tell me the class isn't finalized? That stings.

No email, just checked portal.

GSAS-Nonfiction. Notified 2/28. Just declined the offer through the portal, hope you get it if you want it!

Received email notification to check online system for the offer letter. Accepted into MFA (fiction) with a scholarship and TAship amounting to CA$20,800 per year.

I turned down my offer today! I hope a spot opens up for you!

Contacted the school directly. Mike was gracious enough to let me know that they did not move forward with my application. Just happy I got closure.

Finally! No emails, but I've been checking the portal today on a tip, and it finally updated.

Accepted off the waitlist. 3a/2w/2p/7r

Wonderful phone call

Found out by checking portal. didn't receive any mail or email updates. I emailed last week & they told me to wait until my portal was updated.

No email or snail mail, so I called to check, and embarrassingly they had just updated online profiles this morning.
