Got an email, no interview

Acceptance email from PI shortly after interview

Ignore the status. Has anyone heard back from the program, Interview/Visit Day/ Admit?

No GRE. No Interview. Direct admission

I have been admitted, however, the email stated that I must seek a professor for supervision and funding, and thus have sent an email to the professor that I have mentioned in my Academic Statement. Is anyone else in the same situation and has gotten a reply back? Does anyone know if the professor in my Academic Statement has already gone through my documents and accepted me? Thank you! :)

2 first author, 2 second author submitted articles to international journals. My background was not strongly aligned with Profs in the program, but I had interest. I got a generic rejection letter. No interview.

Research experience at Harvard and Stanford.

2 years of research in my school, 3 summer research experiences, and 1 paper.

Formal interview 2 weeks ago. Generic rejection from the website.

Expected coz I did not get an interview

Interviewed back in January with two professors who said that my application was "extremely impressive". The rejection letter was generic and very short. The impression I get is that since the school is so flush with highly-qualified applicants they can afford to only admit students with research interests that closely match a professor. Disappointing, but we move on.
