Accepted today via email with scholarship. And so it begins! Next up: Housing panic. I'm moving from the Midwest and from what I gather, NYU's grad housing is slim to none. Anyone else in the same boat?

i'm the one who wrote "12 points waived", that just means a 12-point tuition scholarship. I received an email from a faculty and she said the official letter will come in later. Good luck to everyone who has also applied to the program!

Congratulations poster with 55K in scholarship funds! I would love to know your profile, if you don't mind. I am considering reapplying with another year's experience to have a better shot at aid, so it would be useful to know if that won't add what they are looking for. Thank you!

I'm stressing over CUNY's decision so thanks to the posters that contacted the school and let us know we may get notified late next week. I could use an opinion though; since I started obsessively checking my emails and the website last week, I only now saw my application says "Incomplete" and it's because I did not submit a transcript for the couple of courses I took at a community college while I was still in High School. I never even thought to do that since my Undergrad.transcript shows the credits that were transferred from there and it was so long ago. I spoke extensively with admissions throughout the process, the interview, and thereafter. I figure someone would have told me/emailed me if there was an issue, but then again I know the "system" is not that fair. Do any of you think it would be pointless or make me seem careless if I asked about that at this point?

I had emailed the director of admissions a few days ago regarding the same subject. She replied yesterday that they are in the process of sending out e-mails to those accepted and this process will take no longer than the end of next week.

Hi accepted poster questioning the massive loan, I'm in the same boat. Being an international student I also question my ability to earn enough on a reporter's salary to pay back such a massive loan after graduation. I've already worked 3 years in the field, and I wonder if I can better utilise the funds to report on the ground more. I'm leaning towards not accepting the offer, but I'd be happy to receive a counter point that convinces me that there is a great job waiting for me at the end of these 9 months that I cannot get now.

Hey guys! Congrats to everyone admitted. I didn't receive any financial aid and will have to take out a substantial loan. Anyone else in the same boat? Plus, do you think it's worth the debt? I have another option where I wouldn't have to take out as much loans... but it ain't Columbia. I told myself I'd go no matter what, but I'd like to hear (or read in this case) someone else's opinion.
