Waiting to hear about funding

Reached out to the department about updates. I eventually got a personal response a week later saying that a formal rejection letter was coming in.

I got waitlisted but on 4/10 I received request for LOCI, please drop if you’re not interested!!

They did not even email me when they updated my status until 24 hours later, I just saw it when checking the portal, one word "denied"

No GRE, 3.72 undergrad GPA in unrelated subject (class of 2020), 1 official literary publication, volunteer reader for a lit mag. 3r/1a/1p From Rejection notification on status portal: "Please know that the decision is the reflection of a very competitive applicant pool, and we are confident you have the tools to succeed wherever you decide to enroll. We wish you all the best in your studies and beyond." I've heard from other programs that they had an unusually competitive year, even given the extremely selective nature of fiction MFAs.

This was for NWP.

Very kind email from a faculty member, no word on funding

Rejected from the Michener program still waiting for the NWP as of today
