invited for an interview on January 26th and was told earlier today (Jan 31st) that they will host in-person interviews too so invited me on an all-expenses-covered trip to NYC!

I am currently a MS student in BME at Columbia; I did not submit a GRE nor did I talk to any PIs about my interest in a PhD prior to applying.

So excited! Also was admitted to EiS. UBC is my top choice, and I will be attending!

Offer was sent 20:17pm EST. International student with an American degree. 1 publication, 4 coops and 1 summer research. Tutor for 3.5 years. Experience not directly relevant to Biomed Eng but do have Bio components.

Long rejection. Not so surprised because of no interview

I can guess rejection by not having heard any notice from the admission office. As they received that amount of application fee, it is their DUTY to inform about any official decisions they made. They ignored my request about asking current decision making status from Feb., and keep sending me ad about MS program lol. Did I pay application fee for getting ad emails??

Ignore WL. Has anyone heard back from this program?

Did anyone receive funding for the MS program? If yes and you're sure of you're not attending Columbia, please decline the offer!

Unofficial rejection from department coordinator. Rejected after attending the interview. Offered me MS instead. Thought had a great conversation with one Pi. Also talked to one grad student in the lab who said "I am on the right track". Well I guess the joke's on me. Very disappointed. This school just wants more money!
