Thought I had a decent shot of getting in given the other places I'd been admitted. Going on ~2 years research, good letters, 3.9 undergrad gpa, 164 Quant/161 Verbal/5.5 Writing GRE, 89% Chem Subject. Had >2 years of TAing experience as well.

Figured it was coming at this point, still a bit disappointed.

Given case study to analyze and report against. It was fun! I've had great interactions with the faculty and students in the System Dynamics group, and this is my dream program. I'm hoping I did ok on the case study, but enjoyed the experience no matter the outcome.

Fulbright Scholarship, applied via IIE. UK BSc predicted First clas; two summer research projects + time in the lab during the first year + final year dissertation project ongoing. Apparently one of my referees wrote an unhelpful comment about time spent in the lab during my first term.

It was a reach even though I had done research there for a summer!

email from grad program admin in department stating acceptance + minimum stipend. POI cc'ed as well as another professor outside my research area (?). open house details sent later in the day.
