TTPB, where do they change the application status in the portal? I don't see anything about application status when I login in GradApp.

Machine learning theory

Unofficial email from POI who I had interview with (I applied for MS/PhD but got accepted to MS Fall 2021). Math & CS undergrad from a small LAC in the US, 3 on-campus research experience, no internship, no publication. 1 conference. Also got an offer from the POI to join their research group. Area: NLP (but no experience in NLP)

ml and security track. Undergraduate student at UCI with 3.61 gpa and triple majors. Three first author publications and 1 undergraduate research thesis. Good LORS. Formal acceptance today with the fiancial package information. First acceptance today, and I have accepted the offer. Good luck everyone.

TTPB: to the UIUC CS PhD admit, do you mind sharing your research area?

TTPB: I can also navigate to the page with the letter by clicking Main Menu -> Admissions -> Student Center - New Grad. There is the "NAME Graduate Student Center" page with five sections: Welcome ("Congratulations on your admission to the University of Massachusetts Amherst!"), Confirmation Status (and here's the link to the letter), Graduate Student Employment, Financial Aid, and Contact Information. And on the right side of the page, there is a small box "Search for Classes" and under it another section "Grad Student Resources" with the link to "Check Status of Application Materials." I am pretty sure I just had the "Grad Student Resources" section (with the link to check application status) on this page last time I logged on to spire.

TTBP: I'm the same person that just asked that. I am having trouble understanding. I forgot to mention I am a UMass undergrad so my spire may have more than most people. I click on Main Menu > Admissions > Graduate Applicant Center. On that page, I see a section " Grad Student Resources" and under that one of the options is "Check Status of Application Materials" Where in this navigation should I look? I would greatly appreciate more details!

For the person who randomly checked spire and saw the letter but didn't see the status change, where did you randomly see a letter on spire?

randomly checked spire and saw the letter. haven't gotten any emails about status update. so happy :) the application status is still "update pending," but the letter and other stuff are already available.

Already have a master's in information technology, applied for HCI to settle as a UX designer in the career. Thought second masters would not hurt if it is worth bringing my favorite career stream to my table.

TTPB: Received the same email. Had an interview back in November. Not sure about what this means too. But I guess either an offer will come soon or they want to find out whether you will accept the offer before they give one. I'm trying to contact them about what's going on.

I received an invite for Grad Visit Day from the University. RSVP by 24 Feb. Anyone else in the same boat? It sounds like an orientation session for new admits, but Quest applicant portal does not show any update to the application. What does this mean? NOTE: My decision status is not "wait listed" - there was not an appropriate option for me to select while asking this question.

GPA; 3.96/4, No GRE, one journal and one conference publications, more than 2years work experience as a machine learning engineer, 2years research experience, 6 months teaching assistantship
