Email to check online portal. Not surprised as it truly is about fit - coming in with 4.0 undergrad GPA, 3.96 masters (trauma-focused) GPA, 2 years clinical experience at the VA, 2 in-press pubs (1st author), numerous poster presentations, oh, and I'm a current NSF Graduate Research Fellow.

As you know, the very high number of extraordinary candidates among our more than 10,700 applicants far exceeds the number of places we have in each program, so we are not able to admit many excellent candidates.

email to check website, sad!

Undergrad at Ivy-league school with high honours in political science but not great overall GPA (3.56); master's with distinction from LSE, two peer-reviewed, first-author poli sci publications. 3a/5r/0w/1?. Fit has turned out to be extremely important - have no quant background and was rejected by all the more quantitative departments.

Email to check website. Thank goodness I'm already in at my other top choice. Comes as a bit of a surprise — (seemingly) strong fit, good working relationship with one of my POIs. Oh well. Congrats to all admitted!

Has anyone received their Yale results? Does anyone know when they are due?

To those disappointed by a rejection from Yale RS, you should know that the number of offers made in the department dropped from 14 last year to just 8 this time around due to changes in GSAS
