Of 13 apps, accepted w/out funding in fic and nonfic @ U of Montana, Missoula. Waitlisted @ Syracuse and Michigan. Indiana still silent... All others just nope, nope, nope, nope, nope.

Anyone hear anything from NYU's low-residency program in Paris? Or know when they typically notify?

I'm the person who made the post about my application appearing to be stuck in some early stage of review for months. Finally got my rejection today--I happened to check the portal this morning and it said a decision had been made, then checked my email and saw the rejection there. I don't think I'd apply here again--dealing with their admissions process has added unnecessary stress to an already stressful endeavor.

Relieved because I already got into another program I wanted to go to more.

To answer the previous question, I was waitlisted in poetry for UW several weeks ago.

First offers for UW Seattle have already gone out. The grad office admin says that no one has accepted their offer yet, and will put out more notifications if those first offers decline. From what she says, it sounds like there isn't an official wait list and they'll pull more as they go.

Has anyone been waitlisted in poetry? I know acceptances have gone out, but have not heard about waitlists yet.

Finally received a rejection from Alabama. Like the poster from earlier this week, my status was "under evaluation" for months.

I applied to the program after the deadline because they were still accepting applications on a case by case basis. I expected the wait list response and would LOVE the opportunity to go here if it happens. 3a/1w/1p

To the person inquiring about GMU, I too have not received any information about my application status despite mailing them.

To the person below who asked: Heard through some others that Boulder sent out acceptances for poetry, and fiction. Not sure about waitlist.

I called about the Poetry submissions. I was told I'd find out by the end of the week. I'm assuming that's when the Poetry rejections come out.

Called and Catherine said that I would receive something by e-mail by end of week. Sounds like a rejection - not sure - but any closure would be good at this point.

I called the department last Friday and was told that I was not on their waiting list, so I don't think that it's secret.

To the person who posted question re: Boston University fiction program: check out the Fall 2017 MFA forum. Someone posted that they'd called the BU program admin and were told that all 10 offers had been made; the "wait list" is perhaps "secret"?
