To the last poster enquiring about Cultural Reporting & Criticism: I had an e-mail exchange with Tom from Journalism admissions and he said "The CRC program is still in the process of finalizing application decisions." Also mentioned that we will hear back this week, so today's the day, I suppose. Have you heard anything since? Good luck!

Received a personalized email from the Dean. Initially sad but ended on an encouraging note. Still waiting on 2 more decisions but even if any of them are acceptance I will probably gonna take a gap year to improve myself and skills and "find myself" before reapplying to ANY grad schools :) Best of luck to all!

2r/0a/0w Received a personalized email from the Dean of BU-COM. It saddened me at first because I saw the preview of the email "Dear Nasia: I am very sorry..." before I opened it fully. Was a bummer initially, but after reading the email I'm encouraged (and ready to take a gap year before re-applying anywhere else lol!) Best of luck to others!

To the poster below: Same here! Waitlisted by NYU but accepted into Columbia and Northwestern. Funny. Didn't plan on going so it doesn't matter. Can't figure out why tho.

This was my backup school I got into NYU and Northwestern which were my top choices. Funny how that works!

To the poster below: I am still waiting as well! This is so frustrating that they've let some people know and not others all at once. I considered this my safety school so it's very confusing that they're taking this long to notify us.

Anybody still waiting for an answer from CUNY J-School? Is it a bad sign I dont know anything yet? Should I still hope for acceptance?

I was acccepted to the CUNY J-School with the McGraw Business fellowship, and as an in-state student that covers my whole tuition plus gives me a 3,000 dollar internship stipend. I was also accepted to Columbia with 15k, and I'm living at home, so my cost would be 53k. This is the hardest decision of my life -- full ride to CUNY Journalism, or Columbia Journalism? Does anyone have suggestions? What would you guys do?

I got the acceptance letter via email. I did not apply for scholarships or aid, so I can't be of help to folks wondering about that.

Those who have been admitted to CUNY -- have you received anything about funding yet? I got my acceptance last month but no word on scholarships/aid.

Has anyone heard about their scholarship? A document sent with the admission result announcement said scholarships will be available on Student Viewer on May 15 but we have to give our answer by May 1.
