My application status has changed to "Additional review required". Does anyone have any idea what it means?? I am an International applicant and have not heard anything from the University since January.

Rejected. The notification was sent by E-mail to check the admission status on the admission page.

I submitted my application 5 months ago and still no news, they're not answering my emails/calls either. Does this mean rejection?

Made to wait for four months since submission to get a generic rejection email, even after I'd submitted well over a month before the application deadline. I only wish I had known considering that many universities/programs with much cheaper application fees do much better at correspondence with prospective students.

Liberal arts college, 3.64 overall GPA, ~3.2 - 3.4 chemistry GPA, mixed GREs (97% V, 58% Q, 59% W, 48% chemistry). Pretty all over the board research experience: full year honors thesis; summer of research on my campus that extended to full year, part-time position; month long, full-time research position during school's winter term. 1 ACS poster presentation pending. No publications. 4 semesters of TA jobs. I mostly applied for catalysis-based labs.

3.3 overall gpa, 3.85 upper division gpa, 156 quant (61st), 153 verb(61st), 3.5 AW(41st), 750 chemistry(67th), 4 letters of rec (2 from very reputable chemists), manuscript in preparation, 2 years work experience r&d in pharma, 1 yr undergraduate research (senior thesis), ACS award, chem department award, I got into a rank 6 program and a rank 15. This was meant to be a backup school I suspect they skimmed through my application and declined due to 3.3 overall gpa and mediocre general GRE.

I called them and she said You will hear from our department by end on today

They said they would email me whether a admission or rejection. It turns out that I didn’t receive any email and I decided to join other graduate program.

If someone is not going to TAMU please reject it.

TOEFL:111 (S:26, W:30). do not have m.sc degree. 3 publications & 2 submitted. strong LORs. decent SOPs. Very excited. Spartans!

In case people haven't heard back from them... I called the chem grad division to check the status of my application and gave them my last name. They told me that they would send me an email by the end of the day but 15 mins after calling them I got my rejection email lol. Not upset at all and have already accepted one of my top choice schools... I just wish that they would email all their rejections out if it was that simple.
