the wait begins AGAIN

Finally got in touch with someone. Was told we would all know by today. Was also told the vast majority of notifications will be rejections. Haha. Future applicants...avoid SJSU like the plague. It's fine to reject applicants, but they way they treat you through the whole application process is degrading.

Haven't heard a thing. I bet they will tell us today at 11pm when it doesn't even matter any more... What a waste of the CSU Mentor + CSDCAS application fees.

okay, it's the 15th...can you tell us know about our admission status??? stil says referred to dept. online.

i was told that only 18 applicants in total are accepted into the extended masters program. So, I assumed that 18 such applicants have been offered admission. I asked the lady who answers in the dept. when she said that they are still going through the process if they are offering any more acceptances for the external masters program and she refused to answer...being very vague. It's very frustrating....why make us wait so much???

Please update us if you get any news! I still haven't heard either. (I'm an external applicant for the extended program) Called today and they said "everyone would hear by Friday"... but we have to reply to the other schools by Friday. So frustrating.

I'm really upset at them not getting back sooner. nothing yet and very, very frustrated.

I'm also still waiting to hear from SJSU. I called them last week & they said that all decisions would be made before the 15th b/c they are aware of the deadlines ppl have.

is anyone else still waiting to hear back from san jose?

Okay, update: I called again. They said they're doing acceptance in rounds, some rounds have been sent out. Haven't emailed out rejections yet. Said it would be another 2 weeks. I think it pretty much means we are waitlisted. Btw, the admin person was totally rude. Good luck to everyone!

How many people's MySJSU status still says "referred to grad dept"? Is it supposed to change to "rejected" if we are rejected? Are we really supposed to just assume we didn't get in because we haven't heard? I am losing hope...

I think that this week was their spring break so they should start picking up on Monday. If you call fill us all in =]

I haven't heard anything from them either! I would appreciate being informed either way...or at least tell us when we can expect to hear?

Do they email out rejections too? I just tried calling them and they never picked up (I called 8 times, actually). When will we know --yes or no? Has anyone successfully reached a real person on the phone?

I also have not heard anything from SJSU. I am starting to assume that since I haven't heard anything that I have been rejected because two people in my undergrad program have been notified. Good luck to everyone else!

To the SJSU post below: Has your online status changed? I have not heard back either, but am still hoping for the best.

I was notified by email on Monday that I was accepted to the extended master's program. And the decision deadline is the 15th of April.

[extended master's] Has anyone else heard back yet? I called the dept and they told me they'd "try" to get the decisions out by the end of the month. I'm sure many others like me have an 4/15 deadline to reply to other schools. Really hope they notify us soon.
