Had to go check the portal and download a pdf to my phone to read a one-paragraph rejection. Stay grindin', folks. 1a/1r/2w/5p

Waitlisted with a very nice email from Ander Monson, including a mention that there are 11 people on the waitlist. Shorter than I expected, not getting my hopes up. 1a/1r/2w/5p

Adding all my creative nonfiction results because there aren't many of us and it's been driving me crazy not to see myself represented. 1a/1/2w/5p

Referred to website, form letter.

Brief, impersonal form letter.

Upbeat but generic/unpersonalized email from program director with lots of caveats on the odds & the process of selection. This bit may be helpful to others: "This process isn’t easy to explain; it’s an art, not a science. The important thing for you to understand at this point is that your application is just as attractive to us as any other on the wait list. To put it another way, the wait list isn’t actually a list. It would be more accurate to call it a 'wait pool.'" Happy swimming, y'all.

Seems like San Fran is doing this over the span of a few days. 2a/0w/1r/7p
