For those admitted, is anyone in Control area or LIDS in general ?

Already received an admit letter on Feb 23 from CEE (Civil. & Envir. Dept.). Now an admit letter from CCE (Center for Comp. Eng.).

In previous years, only rejection letter was delieved via web :(

To the poster bellow, I called them on the 28 Feb asking if I should assume a rejection if I haven't received my decision yet, she answered "yes unfortunately".

4 published journals, 4 published conference papers and two submitted papers on 4 different topics (four of them are for 2017). Two MS degrees, one from top 15 school in the US and the other one from a prestigious school out of US. One year internship in US. Three very strong Req. letters. Life is not fair. 😀

To the poster below: did you check the box asking to be considered for TPP? I got the same email, though I am wondering if it was because I asked to be considered for TPP as well and those decisions have not been made.

Does anyone have updates

Mail thanking me for applying to the PhD and Masters (although I just applied for the PhD, I already have a Masters degree) and that the committee requires more time to make the final decision. Does this mean a waitlist?

Applied to both, still haven't heard anything from IDSS even though I know rejections came out yesterday...

Have anyone heard back from MIT CSE programme with Mechanical engineering as host department?

If they didn't contact you in Feb, then you are rejected.

Waiting to receive rejection email.Can any of the successful applicants share their profile? Actually, how did you guys write your statement of objectives? I tried to follow what is on the department website. For me I had to explain my somewhat messy background, discuss goals/objectives, and general research interests since I don't have a very specific one such as "studying boundary layer flows". But i didn't touch on my research experiences, which I left inside the CV/resume section of the application. The forums might be a better avenue for these MIT-AeroAstro specific questions but few go there. Hope some of the successful/wait-listed applicants would be willing to share their experiences.
