Did a Skype interview with a faculty member about a month ago, and was rejected via email today. Pretty disappointing since I got this far, and said faculty sent an extremely nice and encouraging rejection email. Congrats to whoever is getting accepted - I'm sure you deserve this! Did undergrad and post-bach RAship at two prestigious R01 institutions, 161 Q, 163 V, no pubs.

Got a call from the committee chair, I haven’t stopped shaking. Good luck to all of the other applicants!

Received unofficial notification from POI 2/1, formal offer 2/8.

Cried on the phone. So embarrassing. This can't be happening.

Interview result below is a mistake! I meant to select waitlist. Eager to hear if anyone plans to say no!

call from POI on 2/7/19. official letter on 2/11/19.

Received an interview request with the program director.

To the poster enquiring about Harvard: Thank you! I have a Triple major in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and an MA in Linguistics - both from outside the US. I have 1.5 years of research experience and have worked closely with some people in my sub-field who are quite well-known and revered for their work globally, and they eventually wrote my letters. Plus a very snug fit with the research interests of the Department - which I think plays a huge role. All the best for your endeavours! Which school are you headed to?

To the poster below, did you see any international students at the Interview weekend? Or was it only for domestic students?

Has anyone else been checking their email all day for this? Because they came out around this time last year...

To the poster below, congratulations! Could you please share your credentials? Thanks! Mine, I have two MAs, one in Linguistics and the other is in educational technology from ASU and UoM. I have 5 yrs research experience, three articles, five presentations, and currently working on a chapter in a book.

Informal acceptance from the Department. Awaiting official letter from the Graduate Division.
