the worst rej note award goes to...

"Your application has been reviewed, and the committee has denied admission." Imagine completing a PhD app, paying $70, and receiving 11 words in return. What is academia???

I received a call from a POI who informed me I was accepted. The official letter will be sent soon. This happened after I had an interview three weeks ago and received ten rejections from other universities.

Rejection through portal. Very short message, did not receive an email to check the portal.

Didn't take GRE. No information about aid yet.

Email to check portal status. Already had an unofficial yes after the interview!

Thanks for your interest in our program. We had 125 applications this year from all over the world and have very limited fund so we can only admit less that 4% of the applicants. As a result we have had to turn down many very qualified candidates. I'm very sorry that we are not able to offer you a place in our 2024-5 cohort. We wish you all the best in your endeavors.

So excited!! Most likely going to accept!

So beyond excited....haven't even processed

Interviewed in-person 2/16, super excited and will be accepting!!

IM CRYING. Will be accepting:')

Did not receive an email. Had to access the portal to see the rejection.
