2 internships (one research and one industry) - one really strong reference

IGNORE STATUS. Has anyone received interview invitation from UCLA?

2.5 years of experience in industry at time of application. No papers published, decent SoP ( I think), no idea how good the recommendation letters were.

Was getting antsy because I had heard from some schools but not this one. I reached out via email and got a phone call with a notification, and got the official email later in the day. I had to reach out to them though, because I think they're a little slower.

Please ignore the status - I see a few acceptances to this program, does this mean they are waiting to send out rejections? This is eating me alive and any help is appreciated!

i took a one gap year after uc berkeley (gpa is undergrad; no gre). i was called on feb 1 by the interim ethnic studies graduate advisor and informed of the decision. i received an email later in the day with the offer letter and the portal was updated to reflect the decision that night. 6 applicants were accepted overall. stats so far: 1r, 1w, 4a, 1p.

Interviewed on 29 Jan. Received a warm email from POI stating that I was placed at the top of the waitlist for the international PhD student slot (hopefully it's true...). Please let them know asap if you don't intend to accept the offer, thanks a ton! :) Best luck for all of you!

IGNORE INTERVIEW. I'm curious if anyone else has heard from this program? I see one response so far and I'm just curious if this is a rolling thing or what? I did interview in January.

Did two interviews with the faculty, received notifications via email and phone call.

Checked portal to find admissions decision. Was offered a spot on the waitlist. Didn't receive any email notifying me of decision being posted. (To anyone who was accepted: if you know you're not going to U-M please decline your offer ASAP for the sake of us on the waitlist... Thank you!)
