Guess they are done reviewing applications. Just got rejected! I'm too sad.

The email Claire mosses strategy doesn't seem to be working for me.. Emailed him/her (gradadmissions@cs... that's the email right?).. Got the same generic email, end of may, blah blah...

If you want a quick response email claire mosses that you have some deadline from other university and that kindly review the application at early and give some date as deadline. He will request the admission chair to review early you u definitely get response within a day. you can have a idea wthr ur application will be considered for admission or wait listed.

How inconsiderate and frankly disrespectful are they in handling the notification procedure! Half a year of waiting and they're still recycling the same template email in response to enquiries! Would it be too much to check the f**** application?

Sent a mail to cmosses , he forwarded it to [email protected] , got back a generic response . Stating "Thank you for your email. The admissions committee are in the final stages of reviewing all applications and hope to have the final decisions made by the end of May. We are sorry for the delay in letting you know if your application has been considered, we have received a high number of applications and want to ensure we review all applications equally. Should you have offers from other universities please do not let our process affect them. Kind regards, "

I think what is happening with ppl who haven't heard back yet is that they are wait listed, pending the decisions of a few accepted ppl. Meanwhile those few accepted ppl who havent decided are waiting to hear from other universities, which probably have them wait listed, because they are waiting for decisions from ppl who have been wait listed here. I don't see a way out of this situation, no light at the end of the tunnel :(

Even i applied in nov was not getting any response so i mailed claire ( graduate program assistant ) he helped mo out. unfortunately my application was placed in waiting list.

Anyone waiting for university of toronto Msc in Computer Science to hear back from them . Submitted on Nov 13 . havenot heard from them .

I applied very early i asked them for early review and i go wait listed may be since i don't have GRE not sure but rest all i have 3 years exp in Accenture currently working too in ashok leyland as senior software eng. GPA - 8.72 STRONG LOR.. not sure y i am wait listed.

They told me that the offers would continue till April when I asked in the first week of April. I already accepted one other offer. I don't have much hope as the professor I wanted to work with, didn't reply when I emailed recently. Most possibly, they are occupied with the admission and made a rejection list (and I am in it), but they will send one batch email to all the rejected people at once. They are just waiting for that auspicious moment.

I was told that the results are due by the end of May. I was also asked to consider other offers and not to let Toronto's process affect them.

Does anyone know about the Phd admission of computer science at UToronto? I was told the result would be available at the end of March, but it's already late April and nothing comes.

Should I still have hope??? got wait listed and also asked to seriously consider any other offer I get.

I got the invite yesterday. I had asked them to expedite the process as I had other deadlines. They said they were accommodating deadlines wherever necessary. I am from India. 4yrs work ex. Strong LORs, Average acad/GRE. I was in touch with the program since last year. I am not sure how many slots they have, but they are giving 4 weeks time for acceptance to everyone so there still might be scope. All the best!
