Can we just assume that the “we will find out early this week” like some posters said isn't happening? It's already midway through Tuesday in PST and Wednesday is middle week, not early week. I'm guessing no one got any unofficial calls or emails from PI yet?

It does seem like we are increasingly close to the decisions coming out! At this point, it's out of our hands. We all did our best. Good luck everyone!

No interview no rejection so guessing a no. When's the rejection letters coming out?

If I didn't get an interview should I give up hope? What percentage of admitted students got an interview vs. were never interviewed? Same with MIT and Berkeley.

TTPB: I always assume the worst so I have no idea. I think that interviews are no guarantee because there are plenty of internal students who get accepted, as well as those who have already been recruited by a PI due to their excellence in conferences etc. who don't have a formal interview. It's really hard to think of yourself as Stanford tier.

TTBP: they sent informal emails to everyone on the same day last year. How was your interview? Do you think interviews implies high chances if getting admit?

TTPB: I did. But every year before this, profs were calling and emailing people early and letting them know informally they'd been admitted. Haven't seen that yet, so makes me think they haven't finalized just just yet? Haha refreshing continuously also....

TTBP: I have been refreshing my email every 2 mins since morning. Results should be out soon IMO. They are done with interviews. Did you get an interview invite?

TTPB: I heard that we find out this week? So feels a bit nerve-wracking. Anyone else have updates or anything more concrete?

True! It was too generic. I guess they just want to see if are not insane. I wonder why they would waste so much time on interviewing so many candidates.

TTPB: the interview was good. But I doubt the interview has a critical role to play in acceptance, given how generic it was.

TTPB: Yes, but my interview was a week before yours. Does that mean I got rejected? I guess someone here was told by the POI that results will be out next week. BTW, how did the interview go?

TTBP: Is the POI associate professor with initials SS?

TTPB: not the person u r referring to. But i got interviewed by a SVL professor for 30 mins.

TTPB who applied to Vision Lab but was interviewed by someone from outside the group: What was the duration of your interview? 15mins or 30 mins?

TTPB: Oh man, seems like a lot of us want to work with JL. Too bad he probably only takes like 1-2 students a year based on the existing number of students in HCI.

TTPB: was your UbiComp poi JL?

TTPB: I think we interviewed the same professor who is doing ubicomp and said the exact same words. Good luck to both of us!

TTPB: I had an interview this week with one of the HCI professors. He said the results are accepted to come out early next week. My main interest was in UbiComp.
