I think not receiving an email from Princeton means a rejection. To me, it looks like matching is quite important. My profile is good. My undergrad research is high energy nuclear physics. I applied to physics for Caltech, MIT and Princeton. Since Caltech and Princeton does not have nuclear physics program. I already got rejected from Caltech and very likely from Princeton. However, I got in MIT. | ||||
