Hello to the poster below. I am local to the GTA and a Canadian citizen. I received an email from ECE grad office saying that there were two profs interested in interviewing me. I emailed both professors, they responded in a very short time frame. The third emailed me directly and we arranged an interview. I did not specify a professor on my application. There were more than 3 that I was interested in working with and wanted to keep options open.

Before submitting the complete application, I had an informal chat with my prospective supervisor, very friendly. She told me that admissions are very competitive because of funding, that only 5-8 student are accepted each year. She made me upload also my PhD project proposal. I'm Italian and my highest degree is from a UK university. My admission status is still "under review"...

Supposedly sent an email for interview. Never received (spam trap?). No follow-up. No status update on grad application. Had to meet with grad admissions to find out.

Saw the updated status on ROSI. Waiting on official letter. Undergraduate in U of T Arts & Sciences, 3.9/4 GPA, years of related experience, strong letters of reference.

To the person who posted previously - the program posted on their website that they had no funding for international students this year, so they would not be able to take any international students. After the application period, they removed that message from the website. So I would get in touch with the program about trying to get ur application money back. It sucks. :(

I got an actuall rejection letter in the mail today, it was dated on the 10th of Feb. Generic letter 'more applicants than spots'.

To the post below "yes I had interviews with all 3.." , hey thanks for the response, are you an international applicant ? did you first approach the profs through email ? I am having a hard time in getting their reply. I have applied for MASc with MEng option as well .

Does anyone know if the University of Toronto does rolling admissions? It seems that some people have already received offers and a waitlist has gone out. Am curious to know if they have another set of offers going out or if people who haven't heard yet are definitely not being admitted :(

Contacted the department last week. I was told that they would be sending out the offers this week. Fingers crossed.

To the poster below. I haven't heard anything from iSchool. Starting to feel anxious too :(. Wish they would notify us already.

Has anyone contacted or heard back from iSchool, whether international or Canadian? Its taking them forever :/

Has anyone applying to study a Masters in Women and Gender Studies heard anything yet? I'm an international student and haven't heard anything. Application is still 'Under Review'.
