3.8 Chem GPA. Honors. A lot of extracurriculars. 1st author manuscript in prep and 9 poster/oral presentations. Small state school in undergrad but worked at a top-national program for the past year. 4 great LORs. Recruitment weekends are 2/7 and 3/6.

Applied for Theoretical chemistry. I was invited for an interaction session over Skype to discuss details about the graduate program.

Received an email from a professor saying I've been recommended for acceptance!

Got a phone call earlier today from the program for a brief, informal interview on the spot (which I thought I blew). The professor (not in SOP) called me back tonight to let me know I was admitted. They sent an informal acceptance email as well.

Still shocked! Mediocre GPA but 4.5 years of solid research experience (including 1.5 post-grad). Dean's Fellowship.

Applied for quantum chemical physics research. The subject GRE is for the Physics GRE.

Didn't get contacted early like others, probs cause the profs I was interested in were not interested in me. Prof. who did reach out matched my interests though. Experimental pchem, 3.94 GPA, double major Physics and Chem, no publications, 2.5 years research, 3 great LORs from well known physical chemists.

Strong LOR (3) Three years of research experience and one REU. One co-author, four oral presentations, and eight posters. No GRE. :) Future Boilermaker!

Has anyone heard from Princeton?

I did my undergrad at this university. I started my undergrad research 2 years ago and participated in SURF. They extended an offer of TA/RA-ship with a salary of $25,000/yr. Interview weekend is March 6-7th 2020. Acceptance must be committed by April 15th, 2020. This is my first acceptance, super excited.

I screamed

3 years research experience, 1 publication, 3 strong LORs, 6 poster presentations

Undergrad at small regional campus of large public state school. 2.5 years of research, 3 strong LOR's.
