Emailed to check the website. Also, I was offered as option to the CUPS program. According to some grads from this program, the CUPS focuses more on applications of data science techniques in urban related problems. Thus the courses will prepare you for a career in data science related fields. The disadvantage lies in the length of the program. One year is too short for an international student to find a job. I would not go to the CUPS program. Hope this information will help. GOOD LUCK!

Rejected but offered admission at nyu cusp (center for urban science and progress) for a masters in urban informatics. Is that a good idea? does anybody know anything about this program ?

About the visit day, it's my understanding that they invite more people than they have spots. Several of the invitations are to students with offers to higher ranked schools (Booth, etc.) who probably won't accept. Stern told me that there is an above 50% of acceptance if you are invited to the visit day; whether that's based on number of people invited or expectation of who would come, I am not sure. It's unclear how they will do wait-lists. My guess is that they have a ranking of students and work down.

Has anyone heard back from the "Information Systems" group? I was interviewed almost a month ago but haven't heard back.Guess that means it's an automatic rejection? Anyone here received an invitation to visit from the IS group? Thanks!

No news yet from NYU GSAS. Anyone else in the same situation?

I called yesterday and they said to be patient and that they are still making descions. LOL. I am sure a lot of students are calling. They only pick 16 people, so I am sure they have called most. Who knows though! I interviewed March 9th and have not heard a thing.

Did anybody not hear back from Queens yet? I did not hear for rejection or interview yet. I'm not sure what to do. I've tried calling and nobody seems to answer. I've left endless emails and voicemails to keep checking on my status.

Does anyone know if Queens college is still making calls to those accepted or has everyone already been notified?
