a nice email from the graduate school, but no word on what the funding will look like. i suspect that the department will be in touch. a great school!

This one shocked me. I still am waiting to hear from 11 schools. But 2 rejections in 2 days feels stings.

Highly impersonal email. But it is OK!

First round accepted for condensed matter

Recieved email request for interview in early March in San Diego or New York

was notified via email that i have been nominated for a fellowship by the department

This was stretch for me, but I'm a former San Diegan and I had to try.

Request for phone interview from POI

Was safety school.

Shoots. First rejection - nice to know that I have company here on the forum!

email said : " I went ahead and attached a copy of your decision and will drop the hard copy in the mail." thanks, I was really hoping for a hard copy of my rejection letter.

unofficial rejection from the department head. Seems like they send all of interview offers already. So... people who havent got any offer will most likely be rejected. The official notification will be sent in March. Ultimate sad panda.

email informed me to check website message: Congratulations to all who received invitations to our Interview Visit Day on March 8, 2013. If you have not already received an invitation, you have been placed on our wait list. Once our visit day is completed and applicants have been chosen for offers of admissions, they will have two weeks to accept or deny the invitation to join our program. If there are still open slots after this process is complete, we will begin looking at the wait list for alternative candidates to invite.
