Was told my ranking on the waitlist. Great program, but I know there's no chance I'm getting in. Third wait list notification, so not feeling hopeful.

Extremely kind email, but third waitlist notification overall, so somewhat of a bummer.

Dear X, Your application for admission to the Graduate School at Cornell University has been given careful consideration by the Graduate Field of English Language and Literature. I'm very sorry to say that we are unable to offer you admission to our M.F.A. graduate program for Fall 2018. This was a very difficult decision, since we received hundreds of applications for very few places in the program. We had to turn down a number of very talented people with very impressive records, many of whom no doubt will go on to distinguished careers. This email will serve as your only notification of your application results. We appreciate your interest in Cornell, and wish you success in your graduate studies. Thank you for sharing your work with us. Yours truly, X

Update from my previous acceptance: Rus Bradford called me today to let me know that I received TA ship!! Approximately paid 17k with in-state tuition, which means I basically get paid 10k a year to go to school. #Legit 1a/0r/0w/6p

2 rejections within the span of 12 hours. Ouch. 1a/0w/2r/10p

Not surprising, but a bit of a bummer nonetheless, as Cornell was probably one of my favourite schools! 4a/0w/3r, 13 pending.

Totally expected - I *really* messed up my personal statement for this application, so, no trouble. 0a/1r/0w/7p

Wonderful phone conversation with Russ Bradbury. No definitive word on funding just yet. SUPER STOKED! 1a/0w/1r 7pending
