Email the program director; I was told that the admission committee recommends to give me an offer of acceptance. Their recommendations then go to the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) for their review, approval, and action, which can take several weeks. --to those who are anxiously waiting, it really takes them a long time....fingers crossed

How do you check your ROSI status?

To the iSchool applicants who got accepted below: when did you submit your applications?

Hey guys, about the ROSI thing. They usually send out acceptances in batches, so even if you don't have a letter now or Invited on ROSI, keep checking every week or so. They send out acceptances and see who accepts so they know how many they can accept the next round. Also, sgs usually takes a long time to update (some people's still says under review when they are already enrolled in the program.). Pay more attention to your mailbox and ROSI status. Lastly, they might not reject people yet (unless you don't need minimum requirements). So if you don't hear back right away with a yes/no, you are most likely going to be wait listed until the official deadline closes and they make their decision about the applications that came in later. I know that method sucks but part of me hopes that happens because I have yet to submit, so I hope I have a fair chance of getting in as well if I'm a strong enough candidate. Be patient everyone, if it is meant to be, it will happen!

Canadian w/ Canadian BA & MA. GPA is MA. At least they didn't wait 2-3 weeks to send rejections this year! (Check your mailboxes, everyone, UToronto sends bad news by snailmail :P )

I just emailed the department (again!) and this is the reply: "I will be out of the office until Monday March 6th. To all the applicants: All applications are now closed and are being reviewed by the Faculty and the Graduate Admissions Committee. Notification will go out at the beginning of March. Good luck." last week it said out of office until the 27th of February and that notifications will go out at the end of February.... Are they kidding???

So I replied to the email I got below asking for an estimate of when I could hear back. They said it could be a few weeks... (Canadian citizen , studied abroad) this sucks

To the people who got accepted through postal service, did your sgs online status change and did you also get an email?

I also got the famous email to wait until March 3. The poster below indicates that (s)he has completed the application mid-November. Deadline for PhD application was 15 Jan so It seems that I have to wait...

Sent an email enquiry about application update. Got a reply advising that, international applicants would receive decisions both by email as well as by post, once ready.

I'm the person who sent the email - I submitted my complete application mid November and my status was under review mid December. I guess the person that replied to my email simply checked my online status which is probably not updated

Domestic Student - High last year average about 3.8 GPA, first three years not so good lol -- Work experience in a library setting as well as strong references. Good luck to all of you and see you in the fall

To the person below who sent an email: when did you submit your application?

Just emailed them, got this response: "Thanks for your email. Yes, you should also be notified by email as well as by regular mail. Your application is currently being reviewed. I hope this helps!"

I'm going crazy... anyone know what format i should expect an acceptance or rejection from?

Has anyone who applied to information studies tried the ROSI trick? Were you be able to see courses? Where exactly does it invited?

Hi to the posters asking for more information- I had a strong A-average (my uni doesn't use the 4.0 scale), strong references & I am a domestic undergrad student.

My status changed to "Decision Made" the other day. I haven't heard anything from the department. I emailed over a week ago re: my status and they still haven't responded. It's fair to say that I'm rejected. Probably for the best! Congrats to everyone who was admitted!!
