Contacted department almost a week ago regarding the status of my application, but haven't heard anything in response. Given the results of some others who did the same, it is not looking good. The least they could do is let people know instead of taking the $80 application fee and dipping.

Got email from interviewer saying I was recommended for admission. Didn't expect it to come since it has been almost 2 months since the interview. Will decline it. Good luck everyone!

Very similar story to the poster below: super high GPA in CSD and non-CSD classes, trilingual, research experience, sucky math score on GRE... But it's cool because I got into UT-Austin, my number one choice! Best of luck to everyone!

Disappointed, but glad I have been accepted at another fantastic research institution. Extensive work/leadership experience, great LORs, and research background. However, GREs seem to carry the most weight in these kind of decisions.

Really bummed out, I thought I was a perfect match for this program. Good to those who were accepted.

"The number of assistantships we have available this year is limited and we regret that we cannot offer you financial support this fall." I already have an offer from a similarly-ranked school with funding, so almost certainly will not accept this offer from UNC-CH.
