Email to check portal. Short letter saying I was not among those accepted. At the end of the email, they said they were confident I had already receieved or will be receiving offers, so they weren’t too concerned and wished me luck. Little do they know I have been rejected by all the schools I applied to and the only decision I was waiting on was theirs. Super ouch. Good luck to you all! | ||||

In answer to the Stony Brook question below: I'm not the original admit but I did get an acceptance last week! I had my interview last Thursday and heard back on Friday... but it definitely seems like they're not as systematic with sending out decisions so don't lose hope. My POI didn't mention anything about timeline and didn't know when I'd even hear back from the committee. | ||||
