Attended interview, which went very well. Received a nice call from the prospective advisor notifying me that because of the schedule of his sabbatical in two years, it would not be a good fit for him to take me on this year. Best wishes to all the other applicants.

Stellar LORs, high GPA, good GRE, solid statement, rapport w/ PI. No idea why I was rejected.

I am very surprised. This was not my top choice but I had high hopes of being admitted due to strong academic background (top masters programme in the UK) plus a handful of previous awards.

Received email that decision status was ready on the website. Not super surprised--I threw this application together at the last minute and wasn't feeling very optimistic about it anyway.

Accepted with full funding. Thrilled. Ecstatic. What else can I say?

I got an email today saying I was accepted. No word on funding yet, but an offer for a stipend was mentioned.

asked a friend who goes there to check for me

recruitment weekend (they are meeting first week of March to make final decisions)

UC Berkeley 3.79

Honestly, I went to UCI for undergrad and was dreading 5 more years in Orange County suburbia. Will happily be accepting a higher ranked offer elsewhere.

Waiting to hear about funding. So excited!

GPA is for MA
