Received an email telling me to create a UCB account and see the decision. Great fit with the department. No word yet on funding package. 3a/1r/0w

Skype interview 1 week before formal offer.

Sigh. This was the big one. I'm glad that there are so many people going into this field who merit acceptance.

expected, when I didn't receive any emails when the acceptances were sent out. not the best faculty match, and got another offer so I'm not so sad.

Received informal acceptance letter from program director. Being considered for financial assistance and will be notified shortly.

Emailed the Department head to ask when I would be hearing back, was told I had been waitlisted.

I suck

Kind, simple email note from Jack Halberstam. In another life, this would have been absolutely fantastic - but it was a bit of a stretch to begin with. Thankfully, I could take basically any of their courses if I were to accept USC English department offer. Congratulations to all accepted - let's be Dornsife pals!

Applied to PhD, received email explaining that there was not enough room in the PhD program but that they would like me in their MA program.

Really let down and a bit confused. I have a great MA Gpa, 2 publications, several large conferences, ok GRE scores, great letters of rec, a few faculty read my SOP in the fall and expressed excitement that I was applying and was a good fit. I'm wondering what happened.
