Accepted. Finally relieved.

TTPB: I was told by the professor that he would take me in his group in the month of February after he took my interview in December. I did contact the professor and the university admissions committee after the decision on my admit was made. Apparently the professor has lost his funding from a firm due to COVID-19 and thus is not taking any new students this year.

TTPB: Please let us know when you get an answer!

Applied for course based Masters, with internships and work experience in a Non-for Profit and some very good recommendations. I guess GPA is the only thing that counts

Well..

I really thought that any decision received that late would be definitely a rejection but I found an offer of admission instead. The funding part of the letter is empty. Does anyone know if that means I am receiving no funding? if so my offer of admission is futile really.

TTPB: I asked a friend who has been accepted in February and this same thing happened to him as well! I think we don't need to worry about it. Hopefully we are going to receive an offer soon.

TTPB: I don't know what should I do to be honest.

TTPB: Thanks!! Yes, I was referring to the "guest banner page" for VT applicants. I really hope so. I'm freaking out at this moment!

TTPB: Same thing happened with me.I had also uploaded my UG Transcript earlier.Dont know whats happening!

My application summary has just changed and now it has a "Final UG College Transcript" requirement. What does this means? I uploaded my undergrad transcript in my application.

TTPB: I am sorry to hear that. Could you share when you the professor told you that you are in? How long between the professor's claim and the university decision? Did you contact the professor to inquire what had happen and ask him if the admission sent you this rejection by mistake?

Was waitlisted in march. got the email today

TTPB: I applied months ago.
