Better late then never. They ignored all of my inquiries about my application... Accepted other offer.

Waiting... waiting.... I had my Skype interview on 7 April, told to expect notification the next week. Nothing. Now I see that some received their offer shortly after the interview. Any thoughts? I called last week, no timing was given beyond "soon."

To the posters below: I just called asking for an updated status and they told me that rejection letters have not gone out yet to anybody. They're still reviewing some applications but if you applied earlier in the process that's not a good sign if you haven't been contacted.

To the UCLA applicant who was rejected today, how exactly did they notify you via website? I'm still waiting, and still hoping. I've already been accepted to UCSD and had to admit there since the deadline for the decision already passed, but logistically, UCLA is still my top choice should I be accepted.

Still waiting for USC, already got an acceptance by UCLA and I had to commit to UCLA because its deadline is coming and I don't even know if USC is going to accept me. If I get a USC acceptance I am planning to back out from UCLA.

To the poster below , I'm still waiting too. They told me there is a waitlist but I'm not sure if I'm in it. Emailed them , no response. Anyway it appears there is a high volume of applicants and they don't really care if you're super pissed at waiting at this point.

Finally received status at 5am on Saturday, April 16th after most other programs have their deadlines. Did not hear a single peep from UCLA before despite multiple phone and email attempts since submission of application in January. Nobody ever answered the phone number listed for grad app inquiries, went to voicemail after ringing instructing caller to email. Top 5 undergrad, 3 years of research experience. No idea who they even admitted.

So I got an email in March that they rejected me, then yesterday another email saying they accepted me because they had more spots than they expected. Is this a thing?? How is this a thing?? I'm glad it's a thing, but how is this a thing??

No PhD for me this year !!
