1st rejection. So sad. Perhaps there isn't a quite fit with the faculty. Have a second-authored pub.

American w/ international degree (BSc Biology, first class honours). No MS and no publications. My first result and first rejection, but not really surprised, UW was a longshot.

Master's GPA = 3.815, 1 mid-author pub, 2 posters, 1 yr ugrad and 1.5 yr master's research experience. My dream program, 7 relevant POIs. Can't describe how sad I am. It's highly selective anyway, ~1000 applicants for ~80 spots. To the person below me who is also rejected from DBBS: seeing your accomplishment, I wonder what kind of profile an applicant should have to even land an interview.
