I received an email of acceptance from the director of the graduate program in the Department of Sociology. However, financial details are to come.

Got accepted early due to a new early offer fellowship that they just started doing for students who are undergrads at OSU already (so don't worry they didn't start sending out admittance letters yet). Average GRE scores, but had strong letters of rec from professors and did full time research at OSU for a summer.

I had some research experience prior to applying. Namely I worked on three NSF funded projects in undergrad and presented at two conferences, with two more that came after. I used two essays I wrote as a writing and supplemental sample. All that probably made up for my really bad writing GRE score.

Received a Clarendon offer today, so I'm assuming the second round for social science is coming out. Will be declining as I have already accepted and signed a contract for a US program, so there's one more scholarship at least going out if you were nominated but didn't receive one in the first round. I have received the email letting me know my application status has changed, but it did not show on portal until 02/10/2019 morning when I checked the portal again and had the acceptance letter!!! Fantastic news!!

E-mailed them because I wanted to just get over with this season's results. Here's the reply: All letters should be going out this week from our Admission’s Department. Our department is very competitive, we received 130 applications this year and will only admit 5-6 new students. We have sent out our Admit and Wait List letters last week.

at this point, not having received an invitation for an interview probably means a refusal, right ? congrats to the rest ! Congratulations to the others!
