Got an email to check my portal first and saw acceptance letter, then got emails from PIs later that evening

Was waitlisted for admission, this was my top choice, am devastated, HUGE congrats to all those who were offered admission.

Emailed PI for an update on Monday (2/19) and was told I had been waitlisted, but their first choice just accepted, which means there's no placement for me. Best of luck to those starting this fall!

Offered stipends. GRE not required. 1 pub in irrelevant field (speech pathology), 2 conference posters, strong LOR from a well-known faculty of my research interest area.

Graduated with Bachelors in two years since I earned an Associate in high school, had research experience in two labs (cognitive and social psych labs), served as a TA for cognitive psychology and psychopathology courses, VP of my undergrad university Psi Chi chapter, and I currently hold other leadership positions at my undergrad university. I have presented research at 2 conferences, presented 2 community mental health presentations, have a publication I am revising, health related volunteer experience, and had amazing recommendation letters. I was told I was waitlisted on 1/25 and have not heard anything since.
